The vitreous grills (bars) were 20 years old before they became tacky and in that time the burners were replaced 3 times. Replaced with all stainless steel BBQ including burners. WebAug 18, 2024 · First, start by disconnecting the gas and then lift out the grill parts layer by layer. Once you get down to the burners, make sure you inspect them thoroughly. There shouldn't be anything blocking the flow of gas. If the burner is clogged it will give you uneven heat and make for poor grilling. If you can clean it, do so, if not, then replace it.

My grill came with porcelain coated cast iron grates, they lasted several years, the g/f finally said "FIX IT!" when the coating flaked and started getting rust into dinner.
