WebThe Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) is increasingly holding virtual refugee hearings at its Refugee Protection Division (RPD). The virtual hearings were first introduced on a large scale in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) has long had concerns that videoconferencing may be problematic for claimants.
