WebNov 8, 2024 · As it happens, the module that could not debug was mostly built from sources except for one little 'external' object file someextcode.o that was provided by a 3rd party. In investigating the problem it was found that the someextcode.c was compiled with the -g3 flag which, apparently, places DWARF version of 4 in the compilation unit header. clang: warning: include path for libstdc++ headers not found; pass '-stdlib=libc++' on the command line to use the libc++ standard library instead [-Wstdlibcxx-not-found] As far as I understand, I need to install or set preferences for libstdc++.

WebJan 8, 2024 · Addressing a followup: if your compiler is looking in /usr/local, then you could work around this by amending your CPPFLAGS variable, adding /usr/include (and possibly /usr/include/c++/4.8, etc.), though there's also the library path in LDFLAGS to consider).
